About this yoga retreat
A week of Iyengar yoga focusing on attention to detail and alignment, with time for rest, reflection, and quiet surroundings in Southern Crete, Greece.
The purpose of this retreat is to help students understand how an attentive approach to asana (yoga postures) creates space in the body, breath, and mind.
Through careful instruction and consistent practice, postures become a tool for observation and stability. This approach allows you to work within your own physical structure, developing awareness in a grounded and practical way.

Is this the right retreat for you?
This retreat is for you if you are ready to:
Slow down and reset your rhythm
A space for rest, reflection, and a rhythm aligned with nature.
Learn precise, structured alignment
Understand each posture step by step with precise, attentive guidance.
Reconnect through quiet and nature
Simple surroundings, silence, and time outdoors that support connection with oneself.
Deepen your practice with patience
Develop a sustainable, sensitive towards your needs practice that you can continue long after the retreat.
Your teacher
Eugenia is an Iyengar yoga teacher with over 20 years of experience. Her teaching is rooted in clarity, precision, and careful observation of each student’s individual structure.
She works with attention to detail, adapting the practice to support stability, understanding, and long-term development.
“The focus of this retreat is to explore how the practice of postures becomes a tool for awareness of body, breath, and mind — supporting a more easeful and joyful way of living.”

What you will experience
• 4-hour daily Iyengar yoga practice
Through precise use of props — wall ropes, bolsters, blocks, belts — you release deep tension in hips, back, neck, and shoulders. A practice that addresses the postural habits of modern life.
• Guided grounding meditation
Each day begins with a grounding meditation that builds a stable foundation for your asana practice.
• The principle of effortless effort
You will discover that alignment is not a fixed state but a living relationship between body parts, gravity, and ease.
• Time for rest and integration
A balanced rhythm of practice, shared meals, and visits to secluded beaches — including Sweet Water.
