Eva Plokamaki
Massage Therapist
A foundation in movement
Eva Plokamaki was born and raised in Piraeus, Athens.
She pursued classical and contemporary dance professionally and completed her studies at the Higher Professional School of Dance “Morianova–Trasta” in 2002.
For twelve years she worked primarily as a neoclassical and contemporary dancer, and also as an assistant choreographer, in performances in Greece and abroad (England, Germany, India, etc.).
From dance to therapy
Her personal experience with physical injuries started during — and as a result of — her dancing career which led her into the field of alternative therapies, first as a patient and later as a professional therapist.
In 2005 she began her journey into the world of healing — an inspiring and “magical” world for her — with reflexology as her first step. Alongside her reflexology studies at the “Natural Health Science” academy, she also trained in electro-acupuncture, and in 2007 she successfully completed both academic programs, obtaining diplomas in both fields.
From early on, she distinguished herself in the therapy field, offering her services to colleagues, dancers, and choreographers with a more integrated perspective and deeper understanding of the needs of an overworked body — especially that of a dancer, and beyond.
Discipline and martial practice
Alongside therapy and dance, she opened a new chapter in martial arts, specifically traditional Kung Fu (Eagle Claw system), training under the internationally acclaimed coach Christos Papachristos. Her excellent guidance and outstanding technique earned her one silver and two gold medals in national championships.
Homeopathy and oriental medicine
Through both her therapeutic and competitive background, and her essential search for the deeper root cause that gives rise to pain, she was led to homeopathy. She apprenticed with Konstantinos Konstantopoulos at the Academy of Ancient Greek & Chinese Medicine, where she received her diploma in 2013.
Alongside homeopathy — and as the seed of research had already begun to flourish within her — she embarked on her next major journey into Chinese and Greek Medicine. A months-long trip to China and a deeper acquaintance with Chinese culture were decisive in her choosing to walk further along the path of self-knowledge and her personal truth, and thus, with greater resources, to listen to and touch the human experience more deeply.
In 2014 she received her diploma as an acupuncturist from the Academy of Ancient Greek and Chinese Medicine, and in the same year, after completing 1,100 hours of training, she obtained her qualification as a “Certified Definitive Therapist” from the same school.
Ongoing training and evolution
Over the years she has attended a series of seminars with recognized Greek and international teachers on definitive massage, kinesiology, Ayurveda, Gua Sha, Hot Stones, Tai Oil, Deep Tissue Massage, as well as many personal development seminars such as dramatherapy, systemic constellations, and more.
From the completion of her studies to the present day, she continues to attend classes, continuously evolving her practice in AOM (Art of Oriental Medicine) with her Europe-wide recognized teacher, Vita Rivelli.
Present work
Her generosity, skill, and love for her work — and for her patients — make her a distinctive therapist in the holistic healing field.
Recently, she has been living and working in Chania and maintaining her professional collaboration with YogaOnCrete.
