How Kristina teaches

Kristina teaches Iyengar yoga with clarity, attentiveness, and care. Her classes are grounded in precision and patience, allowing students to move step by step into deeper awareness of both body and mind. She supports each practitioner in exploring postures safely, encouraging presence, curiosity, and self-observation rather than performance.

Her teaching invites students to slow down, refine their attention, and experience yoga as a process of alignment — not only physically, but inwardly.

Teaching approach

  • Precision of alignment as a foundation for awareness

  • Therapeutic sensitivity to individual needs and limitations

  • Yoga as a path beyond physical benefits, supporting mental and emotional well-being

  • Cultivating presence, clarity, and self-discovery through detailed practice

Experience and background

Kristina is Greek, born in London, raised between Athens and Paris, and currently living in Brussels. She has been practicing and studying Iyengar yoga since benefiting from it herself for its therapeutic qualities.

She assists therapeutic yoga classes at the BKS Iyengar Centre in Brussels and continues to deepen her understanding of yoga through ongoing study and practice. Kristina has followed classes and workshops with Willy Bok, Alexis Simon, Suryans Thakur, Christian Pisano, Constantinos Giannetakis, and Martine Le Chenic, and regularly attends workshops and conventions in Belgium, France, India, and Greece.

Yoga, culture, and inner exploration

Kristina is deeply passionate about yoga and believes that its practice transcends physical benefits. Her teaching is rooted in the Iyengar approach, focusing on the detailed exploration of asanas to allow body and mind to align naturally.

Alongside her yoga practice, she is a Reiki practitioner and has completed Mindfulness training, supporting a holistic understanding of well-being. Through attention to detail and embodied awareness, Kristina guides students toward a deeper experience of yoga — one that nourishes both physical and mental health while encouraging ongoing self-discovery.
